Accountant

My family moved from China to America in winter 2018. This is the biggest change, as well as the biggest opportunity, that has ever happened to me in my life. Olympia is the first and the only place we have ever lived in America. I love it here so much as my second hometown.

I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree of Art in English Language in China. After graduation, I worked as an international tour consultant helping tourists from all over the world design and budget their tailor-made China tour packages. I am now working towards my AAS degree at Accounting in South Puget Sound Community College. I plan to graduate with AAS degree in Accounting in spring 2021.

My personal experience tells me it is so important to educate and help people protect and manage the natural resources around us because I saw how people in other parts of the world suffer from air pollution, soil pollution, water pollution and lack of essential natural resources. I appreciate so much that I can have the opportunity to join and support the TCD team working on sustainable environmental goals.

In my free time I love cooking and my husband loves gardening. My husband grows some vegetables in our small backyard and I am always enthusiastic about looking for or creating new recipes for our homegrown vegetables. We have a dream that one day we can own farmland here in Thurston County so that we can grow vegetables, herbs and plants, keep some poultry and livestock, and enjoy the life from our farm to kitchen.
