Elijah Orr

Elijah is a Washington Service Corps member serving the Thurston Conservation District and South Sound GREEN for the 25-26 service term. He first interned with SSG in the Fall of 2025 while attending The Evergreen State College. At TESC, he received a Bachelor’s focusing on Environmental Science/Education and a certificate in Marine Bioresources.

Elijah grew up in Olympia and has always been fascinated by water and marine life. Some favorites of his are kelp, the giant Pacific octopus, and salmon. Through various environmental education internships, he has found that he enjoys helping students of all ages find their place outdoors. Elijah hopes that he can continue to foster a passion for environmental stewardship as he continues working with SSG.

Elijah enjoys drawing, reading, tide pooling, theater, gaming, and very recently, kayaking.
