
Join Thurston Conservation District for a locally-based conference for farmers and ranchers, growers and gardeners, and those passionate about local food. This two-day event will celebrate our local food economy while also diving into some of the place-specific impacts of climate change.
Friday Details
Join us for our Friday night celebration of local food at the Eagles Ballroom in Olympia. This evening event is a fundraiser for the Southwest Washington Food Hub and will feature local food prepared by local chefs. Engage in a fireside chat between our communities’ farmers and chefs to learn about local food infrastructure and access, and enjoy live music from Briarfinch. Please note, this venue is only accessible by stairs.

Join us for our Saturday conference to learn about emerging climate change science, how this is impacting our farming community, and tools and practices to support adaptation and mitigation of climate change. Our Saturday event features an exciting keynote address by Dr. David Montgomery!

Participants will choose between Breakout Sessions in the morning and afternoon. All attendees will receive recordings of all four sessions.
When purchasing a ticket you’ll see an option to add a donation for our Saturday scholarship fund. Please consider adding to our fund to make a limited number of need-based tickets available to our community members. If you’d like to be added to the waitlist for need-based tickets, please fill out this form. When our funding goal has been reached we’ll share a promo code for free or reduced price ticket with those who’ve shared their info. If you’re interested in volunteering, there are Saturday volunteer tickets available at a reduced cost.
