Physocarpus capitatus
This deciduous shrub grows 5-20 feet in height with open, straggled branches. Leaves are alternate and somewhat shiny above, and pubescent below. Flowers in late spring.
Planting Considerations:
Prefers sun to shade, best in acid soil, requires some watering. Propagates easily from cuttings. As with any new planting, it should be watered during the dry season for the first 2-3 years. Plants should be spaced 4 feet apart.
